Founder + Lead Forecaster

Victoria set up Scarlet Opus in 2003 and runs the company under the guiding principle: Fairness in all things. Our Lead Futurist with an enviable wealth of knowledge in design, fashion, interiors, sustainability, technology, history, and politics, she is highly skilled at analysing and interpreting the global forces shaping consumer trends and is passionate about sharing her knowledge in a way that inspires and excites people to do fantastic things. A gifted public speaker, Victoria’s trend presentations are renowned and she has travelled the globe delivering seminars to audiences of 250+. She is a proud feminist and is a huge supporter of the young female Design students at Huddersfield University where she has been a guest lecturer since 2005.

PHIL POND

Client Business Strategist

Phil is a ‘say it as it is’ person. He likes to keep things real, whilst at the same time championing our biggest and boldest ideas. He’s served as the MD for a number of international brands across multiple industries. He has sat on judging panels for entrepreneurial, product design, and sales award events + projects and can largely be found delivering seminars at corporate and trade events up and down the country. Phil is an inspired leader, skilled at bringing talented teams together, and has served as a mentor to both under and postgrad students for the past 12 years.

LAURA GOTTFRIED

Design + Research Lead

Laura joined Scarlet Opus way back in 2014 and her expert understanding of consumer trends and dynamic approach to design has helped develop a vast range of clients ever since. Never happier than when travelling, experiencing new cultures, new people, and new adventures, Laura combines her work life with her passions, bringing exceptional design skills to the team. She is at her creative best when faced with an unpredictable challenge and is the queen of unconventional approaches.

SHELLEY BOU CHROUCH

Brand + Communication Strategist

Shelley is our resident Strategist with over 15 years agency experience in marketing, trend forecasting, and branding. She spent 13 years in the UAE developing a strong understanding of the Middle Eastern market. She has a passion for re-branding and loves working with fearless brands. Fascinated by culture, behaviour, and innovation, her core focus is tracking + analysing industry trends, studying shifts + changes across the consumer landscape, identifying new opportunities, applying her skills to build strong Brand Strategy, with the belief that great communication is simply about genuine connections with people.
